At Procede Software, we believe in supporting the next generation of trucking industry leaders. That’s why we are proud to have been a Silver-level sponsor at this year’s Top Tech competition, hosted by our customer Truck Country/Stoops Freightliner.
Truck Country is one of the largest Freightliner dealer groups in the U.S., with locations throughout Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Each year, the dealership hosts an annual in-company competition for their Service Technicians, who compete to test their diesel tech skills and knowledge.
Last year, the event was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, after a one-year hiatus, the dealership was pleased to host the event in-person once again at their Technical Institute in Dubuque, Iowa, with over 30 participating diesel technicians.
“Supporting our customers is our number one priority,” said Larry Kettler, Procede Software CEO. “That’s why we’re proud to sponsor Truck Country’s Top Tech competition, to train the next generation of Service Technician leaders.”
Doug McCoy, Truck Country President, stated: “During this current crisis, Service department personnel have been front-line heroes, keeping trucks on the road and our shelves stocked.” McCoy continued, “At Truck Country, our highly skilled Service Technicians are proud to be doing their part to keep our nation moving forward.”
This year’s Top Tech winners included Will Gross, who took first place in the Expert Level competition, and Darius Ripp, who won the Professional Level competition. Winners received up to $6,000 in monetary prizes and tools from Truck Country and event sponsors. Congratulations to all of the participants, and special congrats to Will and Darius for being named Truck Country’s top technicians! We look forward to participating in next year’s Top Tech competition.
