February 25, 2025 — Procede Software is pleased to announce the general release of Avalara Integration v1.1, an enhanced solution designed to streamline tax compliance and reduce operational costs for dealerships.
As dealerships expand across multiple states, managing complex tax requirements becomes more challenging, which Avalara addresses by eliminating manual tax processes, reducing errors, and ensuring seamless regulatory adherence.
Integrating Avalara with Excede provides dealerships with a powerful tool to enhance their tax compliance processes. This integration automates tax calculations, eliminating the need for manual updates and ensuring precise tax application and reporting within the Excede DMS workflow.
Building on the success of v1.0, the Avalara Integration v1.1 introduces several key updates:
- Enhanced Error Handling: Improved error messaging and detailed error logging within Excede for better clarity and easier troubleshooting.
- Address and Data Enhancements: Includes sending longitude and latitude as part of the address, handling deposits and deductibles item types, and options to prevent postings without an Avalara TaxID.
- Process and Bug Fixes: Updates the posting process to uncommit transactions early, improves address validation, and enhances handling of large orders and customer data.
