February 24, 2025 — In the previous quarter, Procede announced the general release of Analytics Microsoft® Power BI. Leveraging over a decade of Procede’s analytics expertise and Microsoft’s trusted business intelligence platform, this application provides seamless access to comprehensive reports, offering a clear view of key metrics to drive smarter decision-making across your business.
Analytics Microsoft Power BI v1.0 launched with in-depth parts and service dashboards featuring KPIs, metrics, and over 100 drill-throughs and tooltips. It also includes a financial reporting suite for departmental and branch performance, enhanced income statements, balance sheets, and comprehensive KPI reporting with 18+ detailed reports, including term definitions and calculations.
Building on this foundation, Analytics Microsoft® Power BI v1.1 introduces several new features and updates:
New Reports:
- Customer Sales Analysis: Provides an overview of your customer base, showing total sales by account and area of the business. Users can drill down using slicers to narrow the results by location, department type, and specific customer. With a simple mouse click, the viewer may view sales and profit for those accounts in a month-over-month or year-over-year format.
- Parts Inventory Adjustments: Focuses on cost and quantity adjustments to inventory. It introduces a new KPI, “Bin-Level Accuracy %,” and includes metrics like total or absolute variance values, rather than just net variance amounts.
- Service Operations & Labor Guide Analysis: Using operation codes across different locations can reveal instances of internal competition, overuse of miscellaneous operations, or improper use of specific operations.
Updates to Existing Reports:
- Parts Dashboard: Now includes new and updated visualizations and additions to tool-tips for Gross Profit Margin, Operating Expense, Book to PAD Variance, FCOs Opened/Closed, Sales by Sales Type, and Front Counter Order Invoice Detail.
- Service Dashboard: This update includes new visualizations for Repair Orders Opened/Invoiced by Day, ROs Opened, Throughput Summary by Hours, Service Sales, Customer Sales Type Category WIP detail, and Service Throughput Analysis. The Service Throughput Analysis is a new drill-through from the Throughput Summary by Hours chart on the Labor Metrics Page. These visualizations help identify service bottlenecks and track profitability trends.
- Updated Slicers: Select slicers have been updated to provide more granular control over data views, enhancing the overall user experience.
These updates reflect Procede Software’s commitment to continuous improvement and responsiveness to user feedback, ensuring that Analytics Microsoft® Power BI remains a powerful and user-friendly tool for our partners in the industry.
