At Procede Software, we believe in supporting the next generation of trucking industry leaders. That’s why we are proud to have been a Silver-level sponsor at the 2021 Top Tech competition, hosted by our customer Stoops Freightliner.
Stoops Freightliner is part of the McCoy Group, one of the largest Freightliner dealer groups in the U.S., with locations in Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin. This is the first year that Stoops Freightliner hosted the Top Tech Competition for their Service Technicians, who competed to test their diesel tech skills and knowledge. The competition took place at the dealership’s Training Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana, with 21 participating diesel technicians.
“At Procede Software, we believe in investing in our customers, and helping them to train the next generation of Service Technician leaders,” said CEO Larry Kettler. “Through the Top Tech competition, participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and proficiency as a Service Tech.”
David Shane, Stoops Freightliner’s Vice President of Operations, commented: “Stoops was thrilled to be able to put on our first Service Technician competition that showcased the best talent in the industry. We had Technicians who are enrolled in our Stoops Technician Training Program as well as long-standing veteran Technicians who placed in the competition, which was great to see. This was a fantastic opportunity to put on a fun event, give out well-deserved prizes, and share the success of all the competitors with their loved ones.”
This year’s Top Tech winners included Brad Glass, who took first place in the Expert Level competition, and Tyler Willis, who won the Professional Level competition. Winners received up to $5,000 in monetary prizes and tools from Stoops Freightliner and event sponsors. Congratulations to all of the participants, and special congrats to Brad Glass and Tyler Willis for being named Stoops Freightliner’s top technicians! We look forward to participating in next year’s Top Tech competition.
