March 25, 2025 — Procede Software is excited to announce the launch of Excede v10.5, the latest iteration of our industry-leading dealer management system (DMS). This release introduces powerful enhancements designed to streamline workflows, improve interoperability, and deliver a more intuitive user experience.
Built on our stable Microsoft SQL Server architecture, Excede v10.5 enhances decision-making, optimizes performance, and strengthens cross-platform compatibility. By leveraging direct user input from our Insider Program, we’ve prioritized enhancements that align with the real-world needs of dealerships, ensuring they can operate more efficiently and gain a competitive edge.
What’s New in Excede v10.5
Service department updates:
- NEW – Service Estimating empowers dealers to manage service estimates on a by-the-job basis. This tool maintains a comprehensive audit trail of all estimates and revisions, allowing for easy management of jobs and their related parts. As a result, the new Service Estimating eliminates double entry of records, streamlining the estimation process.
- NEW – Advanced pricing rules for packaged jobs and specials to perfectly allocate gross profit by department while retaining special pricing.
- UPDATE – Pricing features to directly control expenses and give your dealership more control over costs and gross profit.
Parts department updates:
- NEW – Support for management of serialized parts to give Parts Managers precise records of serialized part location, status, and history to reduce errors and guesswork within the department.
- NEW – Count feature by part numbers rather than by bin for a more customized, targeted inventory count.
- NEW – Control point-of-sale parts price changes by margin to ensure consistently profitable sales.
- UPDATE – Multiple transfer features create our most robust inter-branch parts order fulfillment system to date which optimizes inventory stock levels and just-in-time stock management.
Accounting department updates:
- NEW – Run schedules in a grid within Excede, where the accounting team can filter, search, export and take action directly without needing to generate multiple reports.
- NEW – Run set references by Schedule ID, allowing display of multiple GL accounts at once, even from separate branches and corporations.
- NEW – Excede will automatically insert inter-corporation balancing entries for all document types during posting without the need for manual intervention.
Lease/Rental department updates:
- NEW – Lease Rental department functionality has been brought seamlessly into Excede as part of the core product, streamlining lease-rental workflows for creating contracts, check-out/check-in, telematics, and more.
- NEW – Fully integrated Schedule A, which helps dealerships to manage lease contracts, ensuring all terms and responsibilities are defined and tracked.
Vehicle department updates:
- NEW – Vehicle Components allow for managing/tracking the component separate from the vehicle.
- NEW – Vehicle Attributes provide unlimited miscellaneous fields for your vehicle inventory, allowing for standardized data entry.
- UPDATE – Internal Purchase Agreement enhancements:
- Branch selection for where the work will be performed if different from the sales branch.
- Link PO to an existing service order for dealers when the RO is created prior to the PO.
- Post RO receivable dollars to the GL payable account of the IPA purchase to keep the accounting schedule clean.
Global updates:
- NEW – Credit override enhancement so that remote managers may provide users with a one-time password, allowing the sale to be completed when the manager is not present.
- NEW – Help is now cloud-based which maintains up-to-date documentation without the dealership needing a software update. Users will have access from Excede to navigate directly to the Procede Help Portal.
- UPDATE – Licensing wizard now shows count of active users, seats used and records logins/logouts to resolve licensing issues.
